Job Description
This Title 42 position is located in the Office of Research and Development (ORD), Center for Computational Toxicology and Exposure, Biomolecular and Computational Toxicology Division. Job Requirements
To meet the eligibility criteria, you must have a doctoral degree in toxicology, environmental health, pharmacology, or other scientific discipline related to the Biomolecular and Computational Toxicology Division's mission and substantive specialized experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to this position. You should be recognized as a significant scientific contributor, advisor, and consultant in one or more area’s related to the design, development, and interpretation of in vitro high- and medium- throughput toxicity assays; the design, development, evaluation and application of computational modeling and bioinformatic methods and familiarity with their use in analyzing data from in vitro toxicity assays, toxicokinetics, chemistry, transcriptomics, genomics, and metabolomics; the design, methods development and analysis of assays using complex cell cultures and alternative species to predict the tissue, organ, and organism-level effects of chemicals; chemical risk assessment; and application of in vitro and computational models as New Approach Methods in evaluating potential chemical risks. As evidence of your qualifications and scientific contribution, you may also have: 1) been regularly sought out for consultation on difficult problems in the field of expertise; 2) served in leadership roles on task forces/committees; 3) received prestigious awards for research accomplishments; and 4) demonstrated experience building coalitions and relationships with partners and customers to address the strategic planning of the Center’s research in the context of toxicology research and modeling.
